Fully understand your body, your fertility status, and your chances of success
One of the issues that comes up again and again in fertility care is that patients are often left in the dark about their own bodies. With Ovom, we want you to be fully informed and capable of making the best decisions for your body and your future.
We offer in-depth testing and analysis of all the factors that affect your fertility, so you know exactly where you stand and how to move forward. You are always in control of your future.
Our fertility check is an easy way to get comprehensive insights into your reproductive health. It’s designed for anyone who is curious to learn more about their own fertility. For people with eggs, we check your ovarian reserve and for people with sperm, we take an in-depth look at your sperm quality and quantity.
Your fertility check is made up of two steps: a visit to our clinic for baseline fertility testing, and a virtual one-on-one review session with one of our fertility specialists. Following your review, you’ll receive a personalized report with your results and next steps. We believe that being aware of your fertility status enables you to plan ahead and make your best, most informed choices.
Our fertility check allows you to understand the current state of your reproductive health. While it’s not a prediction of future fertility chances, it can give you a sense of where you stand right now so you can get a better idea of how to move forward. It’s a good idea to check your fertility status every so often as your fertility changes over time and does decline with age.
Remember that your body is unique so the accepted averages for your age and assigned sex may not apply to you. So choose to be informed and plan your future with confidence.
At Ovom, we believe every fertility journey is as unique as you are. Combining world-class expertise with cutting-edge technology, we maximize your chances of success while ensuring you feel empowered, supported, and heard. From 24/7 personalized care and serene clinics worldwide to a seamless experience tailored to your needs, we’re here to make your path to parenthood as hopeful and nurturing as possible.
A person with ovaries and/or a uterus is born with a finite number of eggs, and as they age, both the quality (the ability to mature, become fertilized, and support a developing embryo) and quantity of their eggs gradually decline. This natural progression generally accelerates after the mid-30s, which can potentially influence the chances of conception and the health of the offspring.
However, the rate at which your ovarian reserve is depleted will be specific to you, as it varies from person to person. To give Ovom patients better insight, we’re committed to researching egg quality and ovarian aging as it relates to your fertility.
To guide you through this journey, our program focuses on providing critical insights into your egg quality, helping you to make informed decisions about your reproductive health and family planning strategies.
For people with eggs, we do an AMH test (Anti-Müllerian hormone) through blood work as well as a transvaginal ultrasound to look at your AFC (antral follicle count). These two measurements give us a good idea of what your ovarian reserve looks like.
Contrary to popular belief, age also affects sperm quality. Although people with testes produce new sperm every 60-90 days throughout their lives, the quality of the sperm tends to decline gradually over time, particularly after the age of 40. This decline might affect fertility potential and can have implications on the health of the future child.
For people with sperm, testing includes a semen analysis which tells us about the quantity and quality of your sperm. At Ovom, we take it a step further than standard sperm analysis by using computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA).
This means we can not only tell you but show you how we assess your sperm, including sperm motility, morphology, and forward motion. These factors assist embryologists in selecting the best individual sperm for intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
Additional testing may be recommended and/or required depending on your individual health history and treatment plan.
