Reciprocal IVF allows couples where both partners have eggs and/or uteruses to participate in conception. One partner undergoes ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval. The eggs are fertilized with donor sperm to create embryos, which are frozen. An embryo is then transferred into the other partner during a frozen embryo transfer cycle.

Sperm donation in both the UK and Portugal is only legal with non-anonymous donors. The resulting embryos will be transferred to the womb to achieving hopes of achieving pregnancy, and any extra viable embryos can be frozen for future use.

IVF/ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) with donor eggs is the process of fertilizing eggs from a donor with sperm in oura controlled lab environment.

Our team will guide you through the process of choosing your egg donor taking into account physical characteristics that best match yours.You'll have a counselling appointment to discuss legal, social and emotional implications related to the use of donor gametes. The embryos created through this technique will then be transferred into the womb in the hope of a successful pregnancy.Any extra viable and good quality embryos can be frozen and stored for future use.

Surrogacy

For couples who are unable to carry a pregnancy for whatever reason but would still like to be biologically related to their child, surrogacy may be an option. Surrogacy refers to when a person with a uterus offers to carry a pregnancy on behalf of a couple. Full surrogacy is when a surrogate has no genetic link to the baby they carry. The surrogate undergoes an IVF cycle with embryos provided by the couple or by donor embryos. Partial surrogacy is when a surrogate’s eggs are fertilized by sperm from one of the intended parents. Surrogacy laws vary between countries but in both the UK and Portugal, surrogates may not be paid.

Where do I start!!! Why can’t I give 10 Stars! Last year around this time I was diagnosed with triple negative cancer. Everything happened like a world wind. I had to immediately make appointments to freeze my eggs. So, the NHS what can we say about our crumbling NHS and the discrimination we face with our BMI’s. Too high for fertility but ok for bariatric surgery. The list goes on an on. So, this left me searching drastically for a trustworthy fertility clinic that would not charge us through the roof, although it’s all expensive, but someone we could trust. A clinic that would at least remember that we are humans first and foremost. I think it was around 1 in the morning when I came across Ovom. I remember sending that message to arrange a 30 minute consultation thinking that this was all dodgy and that in the morning, we will find out that it’s all a scam. The next morning came and I logged onto our chat and no one was there, I immediately thought it was a scam 😂. I, very soon after got a call from Dr Lynae Brayboy and we spoke and planned another call with my partner. I wish there were more people like her in London and the entire team of Ovom. When we worked with them initially, they didn’t have their clinic here yet and they worked from another clinic in Harley street. That sometimes caused confusion, but Dr Lynae always kept in touch and contacted us multiple times in the day. She was there when they transferred eggs and when I woke up.
